If the train is at the platform, just hop straight on and choose a seat. The train manager will process your payment once you're on board. Find out more about fares here.
If the train is not there yet, please wait at the platform until the train arrives. When it has come to a stop, press the button on the side panel of the door to open it, and board the train.
Please ensure that you arrive at the station at least five minutes before the train is due to depart. Te Huia will not wait for people who are late.
Please note Te Huia is not able to pick up passengers at Papakura or Puhinui for travel to the Strand, or take passengers from the Strand to drop off in Papakura and Puhinui.

There are free park and ride spaces at all Waikato stations, however spaces are limited. Find your nearest station here.
We recommend connecting to Britomart station via AT Metro at either Papakura or Puhinui Stations. You'll need an AT Hop card to tag on and tag off, so be sure to purchase yours onboard Te Huia at the cafe or on site at either station.
We recommend disembarking at Rotokauri Station. From here you can transfer to several bus routes with your Bee Card, from either The Base shopping centre bus platform, or the Rotokauri Transport hub.
All stations have public restrooms available except Frankton Station in Hamilton, which is closed to the public. Huntly Museum (Raahui Pookena Huntly Station) will be open with public facilities available in early 2025.
